On Friday night, It was a live show as a drummer of roommate Matt’s band “Heavyside function”, so I went to Milkboy Arthouse.

It seemed a little nervous because this was their first live show. My advice is that Matt should use an acoustic drum. Because the sound from the laptop and the sound from the V-drum overlapped and it was like a 2D sound. I think, It’s different from the idea of the band. I pray for evolution of the band.

After that, I and Matt was going to Matt’s car and I was shouted “ああっ!” because rear bumper had broken. It was cracked and hanging. Matt said “接着してたん今日取れちゃった。そのまんま引きずってくからほっといていいよ。やってらんねーよ〜・・・バンパー高いんだよ〜・・・”.

I thought I don’t care...

Let’s go home.

Matt’s driving was like a so mad and crazy because he often was sleeping and xxxx x xxxx. I kept shouting in words I knew!

Open your eyes!! please!!! take slowly!!! please!!! oh!! Matt!! No!! Don’t use highway!!! Do you understand!!?? TAKE SLOWLY!!! MAAAAATT!!!!!!!!!!!”

Matt said “It’s ok it’s ok it’s ok....zzz” 

I said “I don’t wanna die!!”

Matt said “We can do it.. We can do it..”

“We can do it”

 

After that, I had bad feeling about behind...

Yes. Police was coming. When officers started talk about Bumper, Matt was 100% awaked because he was xxxx xxx xxxxxxx xx xxxxxx.

I couldn’t had understood yet about native speakers fast conversation, but I was a little excited about my first valuable experience.

Ended Bumpers problem, so we could arrive home.

I’ll never ride midnight Matt’s car.

毎週求められて演奏出来る喜び、アメリカの音楽感に対する手応え。

ライブハウスだろうが教会だろうが路上だろうが、全てのミュージシャンが固有のトーンを備えている事の理由が少しづつ見えてきている。

日本の大衆的な音楽の在り方やエモの押し売り、地下で起こる村文化に失望していたにも関わらず、日本人としてのパーソナリティ、いや、それ以前に自分自身のルーツを辿った上で高水準の音楽、演奏として爆発させないと全く通用しない。

上手い下手の概念が希薄なのだ。

ダイナミクスとリズムが届くか届かないか、それだけ。

もうすぐ海を渡って3ヵ月。気軽に入国出来る観光ビザのリミットを超えて、完全なる未知ゾーンに突入していく。

 

 

最近生まれたこの子猫達の成長の様に、俺の英語、生活も少しづつ進歩していってる事を信じて。
